That's why I was pleasantly surprised at how much my entire family loves these fleece sherpa blankets.
The first blanket I ordered was a trains collage blanket :
When it arrived, the first thing I noticed was how incredibly soft and cuddly the sherpa side of the blanket was. I was also pleased to see how clearly the image side of the blanket turned out.
Since I have two kids, it soon became clear that I needed two of these blankets. One just wasn't enough -- so I ordered a second blanket.
After being washed and tumble-dried several times, the sherpa has changed a bit (as I figured it would), but the blankets have held up very well. They are the warmest throw blankets we own.
In fact -- and this has been the biggest surprise for me -- these blankets are even warmer than the big-name Polartec fleece blankets that we've had for years. As an added bonus, I have found that the blankets 'breathe' well and do not cause uncomfortable stuffiness of sweaty-ness, even on bare feet.
These blankets would make wonderful gifts for anyone in your life who tends to get chilly, and especially for someone who lives in a nursing home or assisted living.
