Out & About in Winona, Minnesota, Part 2

Winona, Minn., is a fascinating river town in the southeastern corner of Minnesota. Here are some photos I've taken over the past several years which capture some of its character and charm.

Fall Colors in Winona's East End

Note the style of houses and how close they are to one another.

Stunning Autumn Color Near Downtown Winona

The scenes I photograph aren't always postcard perfect. This house is obviously in need of some upkeep, but the scene tells a story, and that's what captures my interest.

Blue and Yellow with a Touch of Green

Keeping with the theme of fall colors and Winona's houses, here's an irresistible combination of yellow and blue, highlighted by the unmistakable angle of autumn sunlight.

The Athletic Club in Winona, Minnesota

This building has quite a history. Unfortunately, the pizzeria & pub which occupied part of the building has now moved to a different location.

Train on Wall Street in Winona MN

If you're driving, biking, or walking on Winona's East End, in the year 2019, you need to keep an eye out for this daily occurrence.

Springtime Path with Highway 43 Bridge

Just one of many places to explore in Winona. This photo was taken in 2015, when the new bridge had not yet been constructed.

Dutchmen's in Winona Minnesota

I'm told this used to be called Dutchmen's and it had both a bar and a laundromat. (Win!)

These are just a few of the everyday scenes in my Winona Minnesota photo collection. Stay tuned for further blog posts.
