Out & About in Winona, Minnesota

During the past 8+ years of photographing Winona, I've enjoyed capturing scenes that range from iconic "That's-so-Winona" pictures to downright ordinary settings that locals pass by every day.

Here are a few photos from my files.

Winona, Minnesota, city hall (207 Lafayette Street) main entrance. This building was constructed in 1939 under federal funding from the Public Words Administration.

Bub's Brewery in downtown Winona. With the slogan "Decent Food. Decent Price. Decent Service" you know you're in for some Midwestern goodness.

View of Winona, Minnesota, from the Highway 43 Bridge. Sugarloaf rocky pinnacle is shrouded in morning fog.

Architectural detail of Merchants Bank in downtown Winona, built in 1912.

Penguin Zesto ice cream shop in Winona, Minnesota, in operation since 1949.

Benos Deli is known for great sandwiches. It has been in its current location, shown here, since 2001.

The Bridal Boutique is now located in the Winona Mall, but this sign has greeted customers for many years on West Broadway in Winona.

These are just a few of the Winona, Minnesota, photos from my collection. If there is something specific you'd like to see, drop me a line.
